Andrea Comsky is a professional musician and photographer, who, in an earlier life was a stage actress. Her extensive resume on the concert stage includes performances on both cello and voice. The intersection of music and art has been a defining influence in her work.

Ms. Comsky seeks out places to see and photograph based on music and literature that inspire her. She specializes in colour photography of remote locations with an emphasis on distant, isolated landscapes and surreal seascapes, from the haunting moors and islands of Great Britain to the outposts of Antarctica. She is known for capturing winter light conditions, working exclusively with film and not manipulating her photographs digitally. Many of her works are presented in large and panoramic format and her photographs have been presented in several solo exhibits throughout the United States.

Ms. Comsky delights in the company of her lovely daughters, Jennifer and Amy Kessler, and is joyfully married to Jack Cousin, double bassist of the Los Angeles Philharmonic. She resides in Southern California.
