It has been my greatest delight to photograph penguins in their native habitats. Taking pictures of penguins in Antarctica and the Falkland Islands was a thoroughly happy experience. These creatures are sweet and docile, and because they have not been hunted, they are not afraid of humans.

I especially love my penguin photographs of The Sleeping Penguin, and The Penguin Philharmonic. My timing was unusual in taking these images of penguins. They were taken just prior to the opening of the movie “The March of the Penguins,” and suddenly penguins became all the rage. I sincerely hope that this new interest in penguins will not fade in time. Penguins, and penguin pictures, make us smile and feel warm and fuzzy.
