It has been nothing less than thrilling to travel to Antarctica and begin my adventure into Antarctic photography. It is hard to describe the magnificence and splendour of the icebergs, seascapes and wildlife that Antarctica offers the visitor. Through the lens, one can only begin to imagine this other world. It has been compared to visiting another planet, and yet Antarctica is very much our planet.

Antarctic photography introduces this wondrous place on earth to the majority of people who may never see it. And Antarctic Photography is important for that reason… so that people can gain an understanding and appreciation of this fragile environment. The images invite a new way of looking at our world. I am deeply grateful for having experienced the grandeur and power of this continent.
